Mining the ethos of the Weiner Werkstätte of early-20th-century Vienna, Tim Hamilton has pegged his Fall-Winter 2009 men’s wear collection on the blurred line between abstract design and fine craftsmanship. Inspired in part by this delicate historical balance, FW09 is Hamilton’s way of gesturing to the future through a slicing and dicing of classic men’s wear tropes. The result is a collection that mixes innovative ornamental details and geometric elements with functional simplicity and authentic craft production.
