“You can see and feel the Pendleton passion for quality. See it in the intricate patterns of Native American blankets inspired by ancient designs and legends.” Hip meets heritage when three young designers visit Pendleton’s headquarters, archives and historic mill to derive inspiration for The Portland Collection. Watch the designers working in their studio and go behind-the-scenes at the lookbook shoot – here. The Portland Collection is something really special – made for a lifetime of comfort and beauty. See the whole lookbook after a hit.
This new label, slated to emphasize Made in America, brings to life the vision of these talented designers, who have a “strong love of independent fashion aswell as the spirit of Pendleton,” according to Nathaniel Crissman, who is joining with Rachel Turk and John Blasioli to create the collection. He adds, “We looked to classic Pendleton fabrics as the foundation for the collection.” The Harding jacquard pattern, an anchor for Pendleton blankets for decades, serves as the inspiration for many of the new pieces that will carry the label. “We’ve aimed to create a sophisticated and modern line using authentic Pendleton fabrics; our intent is to make it exciting, wearable and relevant.”
