Volvo Concept You – Intuitive Scandinavian Design

Volvo geht den nächsten großen Schritt in Richtung einer großen Luxus-Limousine. Das Concept You, auf der IAA in Frankfurt enthüllt, bietet ein elegantes Coupé-artiges Exterieur in Kombination mit einer luxuriösen High-Tech-Innenausstattung die durch ihre intuitive Bedienung mittels Smart Pad-Technologie besticht. Eine Reihe von Touchscreens ersetzt Tasten und Regler damit der Fahrer entspannt alles unter Kontrolle hat. Der Touchscreen im oberen Teil ist dabei definitiv das Highlight. Es bleibt in Schlaf-Modus, bis der Fahrer es ansieht. Eine versteckte Infrarot-Kamera registriert die Augenbewegungen woraufhin die Informationen auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt werden. Daneben bietet das Auto alles was man sich wünscht: Super Sound-System, bequeme Ledersitze und vieles mehr. Das Design wird mit einem einmaligen light blue Metalllack von DuPont abgerundet. Die dynamische Silhouette wird durch 21-Zoll Felgen aus poliertem Aluminium im Doppelspeichen-Design unterstrichen. Insgesamt ist das Design typisch für Volvo, wobei sich die Entwicklung zur Luxus-Limousine auch hier niederschlägt und dem Concept You sein gewisses Extra gibt. Mehr Bilder nach dem Klick.

Volvo takes the next step in the evolution of the company’s upcoming large luxury sedan. The Concept You, revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, combines a sleek coupe-like exterior with a luxurious high-tech interior that keeps the driver in command via intuitive smart pad technology. They use a number of touch-screens to replace buttons and controls in order to make the driver totally connected, totally in control. The touch-screen in the upper part is definitely the highlight. It remains in sleeping mode until the driver looks at it. A hidden infrared camera registers the eye movements and information is displayed on the screen. Beside that the car offers everything you can imagine, like a super sound system, comfy seats and much more.
The Concept is finished in a light blue, liquid metal paint from DuPont. The car’s fast silhouette is emphasized by the 21-inch polished aluminium wheels with a twisted twin-spoke design. All in all the design is typical Volvo but at the same time a step onto a next luxurious level. More images after a click.
