Das Architektenbüro Steven Holl Architects aus New York gab sich die Ehre und entwickelte ein Museum für die französische Kunst des Surfens. Die Steven Holl Architekten haben sich mit diesem Projekt wieder selbst übertroffen. Das Museum ist unter einer großen Half-Pipe platziert, dadurch enstehen runde Decken und Ecken, die dem Bau eine einzigartige, urbane Optik verleihen. Außen: Eckig. Innen: Rund. Das ganze wird mit einer genialen Lichtkonstellation optimiert, die zusammen mit dem minimalistischen Bauhaus-Stil perfekt kombiniert wird.

At the heart of these transformations are changes in the relative functions and exchanges between programmatic and cultural characters and the realms of aesthetics that explore these new activities and eminently public connections”
