A Kind of Guise – Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook

Wieder mal etwas aus der Heimat. Würde euch gerne das jungel Label A Kind of Guise aus München vorstellen. Für die erste Kollektion verwendeten sie Vintage Leder und stellten daraus eine limited Bags Collection her. Generell sind die meisten Produkte limitiert, denn Qualität steht hier ganz vorne, alle Kleidungsstücke sind ausnahmslose, handgefertigte Unikate. Der Stil lässt sich als minimalistisch, klassisch und zeitlos beschreiben. Die Spring/Summer 2011 Collection ist durch die südeuropäische Kultur inspiriert, das heißt warme Farben und schlichte Kombinationen, dies erkennt man auch in der Materialauswahl (Leinen, leichte Wolle und hochwertiges Wildleder). Bin gespannt was AKOG zukünftig präsentieren wird – schaut doch mal rein, es lohnt sich aufjedenfall.

The young Munich based label A Kind Of Guise was born by a common interest in creating. For their first collection they bought vintage leather from an old medicine ball factory and designed a limited collection of bags. Most of their pieces are strictly limited or even unique and are unexceptional hand-made. They mix up traditional elements from different backgrounds that inspire them, they love function and details and only use selected premium materials to make up akindofguise’s uniqueness. Spring/Summer 2011 takes hints of inspiration from the “southern european culture” which can be seen in the natural fabrics such as linen, new wool or suede. The color range goes from classic navy and off white to warm bright colors like orange or sun-bleached red.
