Die Jungs von Cy Choi kontaktierten mich um euch die neue Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Collection zu zeigen. Die Kollektion basiert auf symmetrischen Säulen, das heißt alles ist korrekt angeordnet, sprich jedes Element hat seinen Gegen- und Mitspieler. Die Schnitte sind sehr klassisch und geometrisch, Cy Choi verzichtet explizit in der Herbst/Winter 2011/2012 Kollektion auf Rundungen und Verzierungen. Sie konzentrieren sich auf das Wesentliche, dies verstärken sie auch durch den Einsatz von klaren und präzisen Farben. Das Modelabel zeigt auch in deiner Kollektion wieder, dass sie ein von minimalistischer Mode sind. Allerdings sind die Schuhe gewöhnungsbedürftig… Wie auch immer, eine sehr interessante Kollektion entwarfen die koreanischen Kollegen. Schaut’s euch an.
Cy Choi Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Collection leads to make new object by inosculating one object’s character with other’s meritorious character, i.e. short+long, achromatic+chromatic, stiff+soft, macro+micro. Through the process of cutting, attaching, patchworking, removing, and skewing a tailored jacket is grafted with the comfort of sport, hunting, work, and field, so it pulls down the boundary between formal and casual. This season is completed with the inosculation of texture; solid+tweed, big check+small plaid, solid+gingham, wool+leather, plain+twill, soft+stiff, glossy+matt, and warm+cold. Basically tailored jacket and coat have soft, big shoulder and raised-up waist, so that it looks formal but easy silhouette. Achromatic + chromatic color, solid + multi color, rapidly changed brightness + gradual changes of saturation come repetitively and extend its color range.
