Today we present you the A Kind of Guise and its small capsule collection of shirts that they’ve released titled “The Holiday Horray Edition”, it’s basically a limited run of 4 printed button down shirts which are made out of the finest Japanese cotton. The fabric choices are pretty interesting in themselves and look perfect for the summer months as they offer something bright and upbeat, all of them come with a patch pocket that matches up with the shirt itself. Eine Sache, die uns bezüglich A Kind of Guise gefällt, ist der Fakt dass sie sich nicht allzu ernst nehmen, das Label spielt immer mit den Grenzen des Humors und der Kreativität. Ich denke, es ist hilfreich ein Studio voller unabhängiger Designer vorhanden zuhaben, die alle im Designprozess mitwirken und so eine Quelle für einmalige Designs sind. Dieses hier präsentierte Lookbook, zeigt genau das, es wurde mit einer 35mm Kamera aufgenommen. Zu sehen sind Kollegen und Freunde in den Hemden der Kollektion. Die Pflanzen der Umgebung bilden auf den Aufnahmen eine tolle Kombination mit den exzentrischen Mustern der Hemden. Alles in allem ein toller Weg, um solche eine einmalige Hemdenkollektion zu präsentieren.
One thing we like about A Kind of Guise is that they don’t take themselves too seriously, they’re always playing on the boundaries of fun and creativity. I guess it helps when you’ve got a studio full of different independent designers all chipping in and helping to create. This lookbook shows exactly that, they’ve taken out their 35mm camera and have snapped away capturing their friends and colleagues wearing the shirts, I also like the fact that they’ve mixed in the greenery of the plants with the eccentric patterns on the shirts. It showcases them in quite a captivating way.
