Heute gibt es wieder Neuigkeiten aus dem Bereich Streetwear. Wir befinden uns in Großbritannien. Genauer gesagt in Isle of Wight, im herrlichen Süden Großbritanniens. Dort leben und arbeiten die Brüder Rob & Mart Drake-Knight, die im schönen Sandown Bay das Label Rapanui Clothing gegründet haben. Die beiden genießen natürlich nicht nur das schöne Leben am Strand - Nein, ganz im Gegenteil. Seit gut 5 Jahren existiert das Kleidungsunternehmen Rapanui nun schon und hat sich in dieser Zeit rasant entwickelt. Neben dem eigenen Online Shop verfolgt Rapanui schon seit einiger Zeit den Trend der Eco Fashion. Unter menschenfreundlichen Bedingungen und dem Einsatz nachhaltiger Materialien wurde die 2012 Collection produziert. So sind alle Produkte aus 100% natürlicher Baumwolle und wurden in einer Windkraft-betriebenen Produktion hergestellt.
Back to modern Streetwear guys! We’re following the urban fashion label Rapanui Clothing a couple of months now. So it was a pleasure for us to introduce you their latest styles for 2012. But first some words about the label: Rapanui is an Eco-Fashioncompany from the Isle of Wight, in the South of Great Britain. Rapanui makes makes Organic,Ethical clothing using Renewable Energy with award-winning traceability. Their styles are always clean and timeless. Their founders Rob & Mart Drake-Knight grew up in Sandwon Bay, on the Isle of Wight. It’s no surprise, that their childhood was a series of crazes - like rollerblading, skateboarding and surfing. We mean, that’s all you need to launch nowadays a successful streetwear brand. We can say, that Rapanui is now one of the most eco-friendly European clothing brands in Streetwear.

We really love their concept. Their business aims to make a genuine contribution to sustainability. They design and create casual wear in line with the latest trends, but from more sustainable material. The guys also got a lot of respect and words, like for example by Sir David Attenborough. He described their business as a “most interesting and valuable project”. Rapanui will continue the succesful way with the aim to repair the relationship between the fashion industry and sustainability. To sum it up:
